Absolutely in the middle of the bullseye, especially the stuff about the blasted speedometer!

SEG,
Here is a link to Polaris secondary disassembly and cleaning. Also bearing changes in skid. I'm doing the girlfriends XCR clutches today so it came in handy. Welcome to the Big Snow Pages! A lot of good info on this site.

Awesome post small engineguy!
Hey thanks for that great info on generel sled upkeep and tinkering. I find it fun to work on your ow sled and then feel it run smoothly on the trail. I just got back into sledding again and bought a 96 Yamaha Phazer and found out it had sugar in the gas tank! I took the tank off and flushed it as well as gas lines and cleaned carbs. However I cannot help but wonder if any engine damage waas done , I ran it about 200 miles before noticing and who knows how long the previous owner ran it that way. What are your thoughts???
Thanks,
Brad

very cool!
Just joined the forum yesterday, just kinda clickin' around seein' whats up. Lo and behold a section with wrenching info and tuning help for us who like to work on sleds but may not know it all. Like a shop manual with no front or back cover, just endless pages of info in the middle. This is a great feature that I have not found on other forums I belong to. This is one section I will keep bookmarked!! Thanks!
