Can you power wash the sleds engine??? My engine is kinda dirty and dusty and needs a good cleaning. I wonder if you ran the engine and washed it at a slow setting you could wash it like you do a cars engine?????

I use de-greaser and engine brite on mine when its needed, then hose off with a garden hose. I never used a pressure washer on one though. Tough grime I usually loosen with a brush and hose off again.

I have a 2000 psi presure washed and have washed many customers sled engines before working on them. I just cant stand greasy grimmy parts!!
Yep cover intake and I cover CDI box just in case.

do it up. I pressure wash both my sleds inside and out, and I hit my truck motor about every 3 times I go to the car wash with the pressure washer also. I used to keep a carb cap and take my air cleaner off and all that nonsense, and just quit doing it. they are made to keep out some moisture, just dont be senseless and spray right into the air cleaner. on a sled just block the intake of the air box. I would be more worried about washing it running than not...

I would never use a power washer on an engine. Use a high PH cleaner and a hose to rinse. Anything that doesn't rinse off, just respray and use a brush to remove. Wheel cleaners work fine or even Simply Green. Here's a picture of mine after I cleaned it.
