wow, that sucks! here's my thoughts

when you adjust the torsion bars, it does not actually add any more or less force to the pivot end of the torsion bar. The preload is unaffected, because all you are essentially doing is the same as adding spacer blocks between leef springs and an axle. It's the same concept. It only moves the spring to a different position.
However, the reason the ride may change is because the angle of the pivot. as the angle is greater, then it exerts less force on the torsion bar and reduces the preload.

basically, i don't think it would cause your truck to roll.

 

that sucks man... same thing happened to my girlfriend except without the sleds and trailer.

Had three sleds in the trailer. They did suprisingly well. Broken windshields; bent skiis. Haven't had a chance to really look at them yet. The inside of the trailer is broken up a bit, and outside top corner has some deep ripples, but is defintely usable. The truck is a 2000 diesel with 22,000 miles so we should be below "total" price.
The problem with a roll over is the salvage people have to roll it back. You can hear the sleds banging around inside the trailer.
