The 2012 sleds are rolling out now! What's everybody thinking so far?

I personally like the 136" Polaris Pro-Ride suspension, that's a big longtrack suspension advance. I love the Snowcheck RMK BNGs! :D The ALL NEW '12 Arctic Cats look SICK!!! :cheeky4: Huge cosmetic leap for 'Cat, especially in their mountain division. The new Ski-Doo rMotion skid is an innovation, Yamahas are improving too; what are your thoughts on next year's models??

people need to put up pictures! I havent seen any of these yet! The Ski doo sounds awesome, those engines are friggen amazing. but I think I would still get the Rush 800 over it. I would just have to! That Ski doo R motion looks like they are scrambling to catch Polaris' suspension lead...and they made a cute computer animation to make people believe it. Maybe not, just what I thought...but I have yet to see one in person. The Arctic Cats I have seen, and I think they are ugly! Less ugly than the twin spar chassis probably, I hated those! Yamaha....well...poop. thats all ive got to say about that :)

i like the new cats, but my 2010 will do me for a couple more years, sad to see cat pushing 4strokes... stupid EPA

my question is does Arctic-Cat still have Suzuki engines? i heard Cat's were gonna start producing their own in the U.S. Cat's always look sick, that's a given, but i'm not thrilled with their reliability. i heard Yamaha will have some more 2 strokes again.. that's a good sign.

in 2014 they will be all cat engines, still running zukies this year t seams

personally im not digging the 2012 cats, i loved the classic m series front the new designed one looks flimsy as hell, when i first saw the 1100 i thought it was a skidoo, also they switched to the skidoo steering which imo feels just plain weird compared to the old mcat steering
wish they would have stuck with 2 strokes, i think the decision to cut the 600 was just plain stupid, ya the younger dudes are gonna be stoked on the 1100 turbo but what about the older moms and dads who dont want extreme power?
it will be interesting to see where this leads

the 1100 replaces the 600, dont blame cat its the EPAs fault

Yea, the new Cats don't seem too appealing to me. I heard that the new Apex has 150 or 160 hp (don't remember which). That's pretty impressive for a non-turbo 4 stroke! So these new Cat 1100's are 4 strokes? What are the numbers on those?

#19 ·
126 on the non turbo for the 600 class, 177 on the turbo to run with the apex, i think its just a trasition we will see some new mills by 2014, but this new chassis looks like a good start!

the 800HO is a great engine, still bites me sometimes

I've only seen the Polaris and Ski-Doo's so far... I WILL look at the Cats, but I don't care what Yamaha is doing. They lost me years ago when they went all 4-stroke crazy.

Polaris looks like an awesome lineup (not that I'll EVER be able to afford a "new" sled)!

My thought on the Ski-Doo's was: What the heck were they thinking with all these *ODD-BALL* track lengths??? Doh!!??!!?? It's like they're going "Steve Jobs" on us...

I agree with what other people have been saying about the Cat engines, sad to see the 600 go. Now the 570 is the only thing smaller than an 800 that they offer.

gonriggen, the rider-forward riding position is the only way to go now! I do wish their new chassis would've had a less "flimsy", Nytro look.

The new Cats are the best looking sled on the market by FAR. anyone who says otherwise is just jealous.. Just sayinn......

#33 ·
Sorry AC Rider, but I disagree. And its not jealousy! ;) Look at that stupid looking front A arm design! theres like 2 feet of spindle and space between the upper and lower A arms! its hideous! It looks like Polaris Yamaha and Doo all had an orgy, something went wrong during birth, and that was the result.....:dunno:

The new Cats look great! I just wish there was a 600.

163hp per dynotech...and you can feel EVERY pony under the hood.

cat advertises "160+"

the 1100 turbo will be an awesome mountain sled to compete with the big point and shoot apex's and yami's in the west. with just a few add-on's you can easily make 240hp and not spend 20K like you need to do with other machines.

i'm impressed wth the lineup, but sad to only see 1100, 1100T, and the 800 for the mountain sleds. i understand why they need to (epa), but it puts smaller riders and women at a disadvantage because they like the 600's or even 700's. not to mention the added weight.

here's a link to the brochure.
