I am trying to figure out the differences between the xc and xcr, in the years of 1995-1999. As in engine sizes, twins vs triples, suspension, and carbs. I am looking at upgrading because my current ride is a 1981 Centurion Indy 500 triple. Strange as it may seem but the main thing i am looking at is oil injection. Premixing is getting a little old. The 81 has SLP big bore kit in it. Somewhere around 90 hp. Any help will be appreciated, Thanks.

i owned a 98 xc700 twin for 5 years and a 98cxr700 tripple tripple since new.the xc twin has a ton of torque and bottom end,and i could get it up to around 115mph on a lake...very light sled..about 425lbs dry.....my tripple on the other hand is a tank, around 560lbs dry,but its a total rocket on a lake...i can normaly get 120mph out of it...both sleds had the same suspension by my xcr has fox shocks with the xtra 10.the 98 xc700had 124hp...the xcr700 has 135-140hp from what i understand.
