well i have a 1990 Arctic cat cougar. and the carbs are way outta wack where should i start with the adjustments?
how many turns out should i go??

please help!

Make sure the carb pistons are coming up equally and fully into the carb. If the airbox is off when you are doing this, you can feel the slides moving up, they should both start at the same time and rise at the same time.

Air screw 1 to 2 screws out, adjust to get the fastest idle then bring down the idle with the idle screws, equally as necessary.

The top of the carb adjusting screw is for free-play at the throttle; you want about 1/8" of freeplay so all the safety switches are happy.
