Well I heard it is hard to find parts and a track for an old sno jet sst so I was wondering if I can just drop a newer engine in the sled and then drop a suspension from another sled and get a new track.(see the thing is is that I dont know if I can do that.) I know the engine and stuff would not be original but I could get parts easier for it. I wAs also wondering if I could still find a hood and some skis for it too.

That is doable, but not very economical.

I like the idea though!

How far into "the future" are you wanting to bring this sled? Modern, long-travel suspension for example, will make the sled really tippy. As far as the engine, you want something with power the old drivetrain can still handle. If you're going to change everything out for something newer, you'd be better off just getting a newer sled.
