Alright, i just got a cougar 550, not mountain cat

i was wondering if they have any parts (rail extentions ) to buy that fit my sled exactly, i was looking at them for some other sleds,

how much would this project total cost? is it worth it? i figure i could get the track used on craigslist for 200ish

ive heard the sled has 85ish hp? how big of a track would be worth getting?

also if i stick with 121, how big of lugs can i turn with the 85hp this motor produces?

You should be able to get qa 136 skid with track for around $300-400 used. You could put a 1 1/4 -121 on your current skid; that's about the biggest lugs that'll fit.

The 550 is the little bro to the 580 triple port! The 580 is about 90 hp the 550 is only about 70. Unless you only ride the mountains in the 3-10' deep snow, don't bother! If what you are looking for is just better traction, find a 1 1/4" Rip Saw!
