Hopefully a quick question... Looking at the top (where the wires come out) of a single wire voltage regulator, while the machine is running, should your see a light coming from it? Mine glows and is very noticeable at night. Just wondering if this is a problem or going to be a problem... any thoughts on this out there?

is it a light or hot and glowing. if its glowing hot yes you will have a problem. has it been replaced with the wrong part. possibly not rated for the circuit or is the glow from the regulator arcing from the frame ground?

If it's not glowing it has gone bad .... just not many people notice it. Perfectly normal.

There is an led that is set in epoxy that lights up when the reg is working.... not real noticeable on some but you can see it if you look.

Thanks for all the responses! It's definitely not glowing red hot, more like a LED glow as mentioned by RXL.
Thanks again!
