We have 3 BIG events coming up soon and I wanted to get the word out there! These events are all conditions dependent, of course.

The Annual Vintage Sled Show/Hillclimb/Drag, sled drags/radar runs, and the 2nd annual 4-club Poker Run (it involves Evergreen Valley SMC (Milton), Seven Lakes SMC (Wakefield), Powder Mill SMC (New Durham) and Wolfeboro SMC). All of these items are weather permitting, of course.

I'll start with the annual Vintage sled show and hill climb at Moose Mountain, which will be Sunday the 23rd. Bring your old iron to show it off or to see what it'll do in the hillclimb! There will also be a vintage ride that day as well. Registration starts around 8:30, and the hillclimb starts at 10AM. Ride time is TBA (1PM?).

The second event is the Annual EVSC Snowmobile Radar Runs and Drags. The radar runs/drags will be held on Saturday January 29th (pray for snow!) on Northeast Pond in Milton. Enter through Mi-Te-Jo Campground. Registration is from 7AM-9AM. There is a $10 fee per vehicle to get onto the ice for both spectators and participants. Cost is $10 per sled for radar runs and $10 per sled per class for drags. Radar runs go from 9:30-11AM, then the drags go from 11:30-4PM. The following are the different classes:

Mini-Class (Ridden by anyone under 14 will be Free)
FAN Cooled – Trail Stock

ALL snowmobiles must be inspected by an EVSC Tech prior to Registration. The tech will decide the minimum class a sled can run in.

There will also be a vintage sled corral to show off your classic sleds, with a $100 prize to the best sled as chosen by the spectators. Milton Cub Scout Pack #155 will be serving up the chow as well. Thanks to the Northwood Crank Pullers for changing their radar run date to accommodate us! Check out THEIR event on Sunday the 30th!! Poker Run: If anyone did it last time, you know what a good time it is! It's on Saturday February 12th, and goes from Milton Town Beach to the Lodge at Moose Mountain. Parking is at the Milton Town Beach on Rte 125, as well as at the old Moose Club. Check in begins at 9AM at the Milton Pump Shop across the street and goes until 11:30AM. The ride officially STARTS at 10AM. If you leave before 10 there will NOT be anyone at the checkpoints. Course is through a very scenic, well signed trail system, and should take 1.5 to 2 hours. Please try to be at Moose Mtn no later than 2PM! Cost to ride is $10 and for $2 more you can get a 6th card. There will be 3 prizes this year vs. one last year. More incentive to take advantage of this great time!

Hope to see you all at one of these events!
