Bought this trailer in 1994, has been a real good trailer for me except for the tires.
The tires after I owned the trailer about a year would loose air while on the road Always carried a air pump you plug in a cigarette lighter socket to air them uop along side the road.
Took them to several tire shops to see if they couldn't do some thing about that, none could.
I finally decided to see if I could do some thing with them my self.
Broke then down and removed from the rims. Found paint under the area where the bead seats was flakeing off.
I sand blasted the rims then gave them a good coat of epoxy primer allowed it to dry good then gave them a light sanding and painted them with restuloem paint.
Remounted the tires after the paint had dried a week or so. Aired them up to seat the beads them unaired them. Filled the tires with Mcmasters tire seal and never had a bit of trouble for 15 years.
On a recent trip I noticed a tire on a sunday evening was low looking so pulled in to a level parking lot and got my air pump out and hooked it up. brought the tire to pressure and headed down the road About 40 miles down the road the tire just went flat and wound up in the axle and the rim was ruined getting off the road at a motell timm Monday morning.
About 4 years and again I have a bad tire. I really would like to change from the
18,5x 8.5 tires to some thing in load range C or better yet D that were not so wide and problmatic .
But what size do I need?
