I need to change the timing on my 99 700 rmk 12 or 13 degrees. I know I have to take the starter off to get to the timing plate but I have never done this. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on this manuver cause I'm a little sketched out. thanks guys.

I put a set of slp pipes on it and in the tuning sheet that they supplied they say to change the timing. I figured while I was working on it I would try to get it to run as good as possible.

You might need to re-jet it, but I've never read of having to re-time one after piping it.
Not to mention that 12* of timing is a really big change!! Advance or retard??
