I have a 1977 Ski-Doo TNT 340 F/A,and need help with the timing. There are three sets of marks on the housing around the hole.Which marks do I use?The set in the middle? Also, the stator has been off,and I got it back to where it "should" be going by the marks the bolts left in the stator. How much can it be off,and still work?Does it matter which side the internal coils are on?If so,which is right?it Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You!

It's kinda tricky to do. The points should close just before top dead center for each side. Tou need an ohm meter to do it correctly. The marks are just static adjustments. There should be 2 internal coils, one for spark, one for lights. They shouldn't matter which side they go on, but I think they can only go one way as far as wire length, etc.
