I have a 96 xlt 600 and would like to know if you can hook up a temp gauge on the sensor thats already on the motor it looks like it has two posts but the temp lite is a single wire any thoughts on this guys? thanks

i picked up an automotive temp gauge with a 2in or so probe then made a fitting out of copper plumbing pipe to adapt it to the coolcant hose, ran me maybe 5 bucks for thew pipe stuff and 2 for the gauge. just bought a T pipe and an adapto thjat took the copper t pipt to a threaded insert. i can get a picture in a couple gours if anyone is interested.

thats a cheap way to go about it and a good idea but what I would like to know is if the sensor thats already on the sled is capable of running a a gauge or if i need to get a different probe but I will keep your idea in mind Hawkster
