We have two 600 Classics, which are good machines , except I can't get the 1" tracks on M-10's to hold as well as well as I could get .82 tracks on Xtra 10's to hold. This is mostly on multched up snow following 4 or more machines.
We are considering trading for 600 Switchback with the 144" x 1 1/4" track.
What are your thoughts ?

i would be that you would be really pleased with the switchbacks. I know they dont weight any more than a 600 classic with the m-10. the m-10 is a great suspension but is heavier respectively. the 144 will give you the traction you want with added flotation. Also tipped up rails so trail riding wont be much different than your 600s. I say go for it.

i own an 800 and my buddy owns a 700.

Thanks dano:
One consern I have after reading a magazine test report is:
In tight twisty trails they the switchback handles well for large riders [I am 200 -should be OK ] but, my wife is smaller so I wonder how it would handle for her ?
