hi, new to site so hope this works. I have a 96 skidoo touring 440. when I try to start it cold it takes forever but once it warms up it always starts right away. has a fuel enricher system and not a choke. when I look at spark it's not overly large and that's with new plugs. any idea how to fix this problem? thanks to any feedback.

The skidoos I have been around have been pretty cold blooded. Make sure the enrichment circuit is clean in the carbs and that the plungers are lifting when you apply the lever. And the enrichment circuit works best if the throttle lever is not activated at all. When you depress the throttle, you lift the slides in the carb and that reduces the velocity through the carbs and reduces the amount of fuel the enrichment circuit can pick up.

I know a few guys that added a primer to their sleds just to be able to skip pulling the plugs and dumping some gas down the spark plug holes on those really cold mornings.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!
