Hello! I have a 1995 Polaris 600 XLT. We bought it last spring and it ran alright, it was getting enough fuel. Now it’s broken down twice because it wasn’t getting enough fuel. We have gotten the fuel pump and filter replaced by a retired Polaris mechanic. But for some reason it still runs dry, I have ordered a new fuel pick up filter and line for it. Any suggestions to why this may be happening? As in why it’s been running dry? When I ride it it’s fine but if I give er’ a little juice see will die completely and I’ve pulled the plugs and they were dry, but after I checked the old fuel pick up I believe it wasn’t positioned right. This is about the same colour as my spark plugs at the moment, is this ok?

Little black, but seems okay.

Almost sounds like the float levels are off. Maybe installed upside down?
