I found a guy who will paint my xcr hood using leftover paint
From a car he did a while back. I told my friend this and he said that his dad(who has an auto body shop and has painted sleds before) told him that sleds are hard to paint because the vibration and flexing of the hood will cause the paint to crack in a short time. Is there any truth to this? Is regular auto body paint ok to use on sleds? I'm worried that the paint job will look bad after a while.

I was thinking about the flexing as I was reading your post. I would think you need to use something special so it doesn't crack in the cold temps with the flexing. I don't knor for sure, just speculating.
