I have a fan cooled 2002 Polaris Pro X 440.

It has a power loss probelm after it warms up.

It starts up great and idles fine it has great power off the start
once I have ridin it awhile and stop I let it idle for a minute then hit the throttle it boggs, if I slowly apply the throttle it takes off but with not much power.

I just had a tuneup so the carbs are all good and the clutch is set right. I had this problem before the tuneup but it was worse.

Any Ideas ?

This sounds exactly the same as the problem i am having with my 81 polaris 440. ;) ITs good till you idle or go slow then it bogs when you try to open it up again. sometimes mine stalls out if i go slow too long too.

check for spark after you have warmed up the sled, coils can go out at a hot temp but work just fine when they cool down.

check fuel filter or coil easy and cheap replacements if coils shot it will lose power when it gets hot but it will idle like a champ samething with a fuel filter problem higher revs will starve itself

Is the fuel filter true even if the back of the sled up?
It seems ok when the sled is up in the back and no load to pull.

The belt looks fine and the plugs are good not to rich or lean
