A buddy of mine has the same 1999 Vmax 600 twin that I do, but his will lift the front end a foot or so off the ground when he dumps the throttle, but mine won't. We have the same 1 1/4 inch track, but mine is studded, so shouldn't it be easier for my sled? In a straight drag race the sleds are pretty much equal so it's not a power loss issue. Is there anything I can do to my sled to lift the skis?
Thanks in advance

Snowmobiles are designed to keep the skis down.
If you loosen the limiter remember how much so you can put it back as you get older.

Why? You already said they are equally fast, the difference is one of you can steer, the other can't. Lifting skis is just a sign of poor suspension setup, not power.
