If the spring in the secondary has a lot of miles on it, you may see some nice improvements just in replacing the spring with one that is new. Also, check that the helix ramps are smooth and that the buttons are not excessively worn. When I replace the buttons, I get the super slippery ones, they seem to work better over time. New springs and buttons, smooth ramps on the helix, you may be surprised!
