Well,
I picked up your typical automotive Electric Water temp guage to install on my '89 Wildcat 650. I mounted it, ran all the wires and decided to test the voltage before i connected it, good thing i did...
I thought the sled had 12Vdc on it, turns out it does not! Just 12VAC. No electric start on this puppy.
Has any one built there own rectifer for there sled., i know it involves 4 diodes,
Can i buy an inexpensive rectifer, like at radio shack?
If you know of a place it could find a diagram of a rectifer let e know. I'll build one.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Glen
