My buddy just picked up a nice '95 XCR 600 Triple. He has the aftermarket exhaust temp guages that sit up on top of the guage panel.....I'm sure you've seen them.

The guy he bought it from said it needs new probes and that it's common for them to go bad. My buddy's brother had an XCR 700 with the same guages and they never went bad in all the years he had it (finally sold it last spring). We cant figure out why none of the guages are working on his 600. The probe clamps are tight on each of the cylinders, the braiding looks like new on each. We are out of ideas. The sled has been expertly maintained with lots of mod's done to it over the years....and it runs like a raped ape:D :D

Any pointers on this??

good luck with that thing. Also forgot to mention that you should check the wiring over on all of the gauges. That is of course if they use the sleds power system for anything. If it is symply a mechanical gauge then like I say it is either the probes or the gauges. Maybe i will see you on the trail somtime.
