alright so i have a 94 mach z i bought for pennys it was an ugly pos and i had the hood painted and am pollishing the tunnel i already have almost all the paint removed but the problem i have is there is corrosion on the tunnel in a few spots some is pretty bad to what is a good way to remove the corrosion without making it look bad after i pollish it??

i have used the Wet Sand method, starting with about 800 or 1000 grit depending on how bad the corrosion is, And how much aluminum you can aford to lose. if 800 isnt taking it out you can go lower to somthing like 120 and go over it with higher number paper, in the end to make it look good you will porbably end up using 2000 grit to realy make it smooth. After you have cleaned up the tunnel real good and you can not see the sanding marks you can than use any aluminum polish available (I perfer Mothers) and realy make it shine
