hi guys i got a new thumbwarmer for my 1990 indy 500 and it gets really hot really quick it burned my finger!! im wondering is this normal? because its old and lack of technology for a 1990? or do i need to get one of those white resistors? all help is greatly apprecited :) my finger hurts now lol

did it not come with a resistor ? i know the grip heaters come with a resistor , but i am sure it is what makes "medium" and usually seems to be the first part of the system to give problems. i have to cycle my grip warmers cause they are just too much and my
"medium " doesnt work . if i were you i would try a resistor , you can get them at your
local auto parts house. they were used years ago to reduce the voltage going to a points type distributor ( ya were talking long ago)
