I am trying to buy a 340 Colt SS from a buddy of mine. The only thing is...it needs crank bearings. This is quite a big job and quite costly because u have to split the crank to put 2 bearings on. I had the crank split on my wheeler and it cost 100 bucks. (CDN) Sooo...plus bearings, gaskets, seals i would probably be up to $300. I told him I would give him $100 for it...but he doesnt seem to want to get rid of it for that price.:p The hood on it is in a mess too. Its just an old beater to fix up this summer but I was wondering if it would really be worth it to replace the bearings and go through all the trouble to get the thing to run. For 100 dollars i guess you might as well!
