Hi All,
I'm new to the forum, and have a simple question about a newly purchased 2002 Polaris 800 XC Edge F/O. I've ordered and received the upgraded s/s power valves, but I'm a little confused on which spring to use. The parts manual says purple/white, yet the documentation I received says green/yellow. I'll be riding at around 6000', just trails, nothing crazy. Or should I just use the old springs?
Thanks much!

The stock XC spring for low elevation is purple/white. The green/yellow is stock for low elevation for a 700. The RMK spec (high elevation) is for a pink spring. I would use a pink one at your elevation. There is very little difference in the spring rate between the purple/white (9.0 lbs at 1", 11.0 lbs at .63") and the green/yellow (8.0 lbs at 1", 10.0 at .63"). The pink is 4.7 lbs at 1", 7.1 at .63" which will allow the valve to open sooner than either of the other two.
