I've borrowed the tools. Are the threads standard ? Righty tighty lefty loosey, or lefty tighty righty loosey?

SSsup?

I'm talking spider and spider jam nut here.

Same as the clutch bolt. Counterclockwise to loosen.

yes , right hand thread. Usually need a 3/4 breaker bar and a piece of pipe ot loosen.
Mark the cover the spider and the movable sheave and be sure to install them the same way they came off. Spider tightening torque 200 ft pounds and jam nut 225 foot pounds

Got it. Thanks guys.

I was kind of hoping for a quick response as I already had the tool on the clutch.

It was tight but didn't feel like there was any thread locking compound on it. 1/2-1/4 turn and it spun right off. Did use a 5' bar.
