Hi all....i have the chance to trade a very good and sound Alpine 640 for a 1988 AC Panthera 440 liquid with reverse no starter long track.....i need feed back on this machine.....i know fairly well FC machine(all Alpine or Nordic 640).....That would be my first liquid......it has 2 rad...one inside the cowling and one in the tunnel. Are the hard to start in the cold??????do they tend to overheat in say.....+4/5 ....ect......Thank you inadvance.

They won't overheat as long as you're moving and have some loose snow. But unlike fanners, you can't just let them idle for long periods of time and they will overheat on hard-pack or ice for long periods of time.

That said, the Alpine (even a 1970) in good running condition is worth a lot more than the Pantera, IMHO. I've seen good condition Alpines sell for $4000, but average around $2000. 88' Pantera is $1000 at best.
