Oil Consumption

Just trying to help out local kid with first sled. Took him out riding yesterday , we did 90 miles and he said his oil light had been going off and on for the last 10 miles of the ride. We couldn`t see down the neck of the oil tank so we measured how much oil we needed to add to top it off, as we did before the ride. It took less than a quart for the 90 miles.
The sled is an 04 F6. Can anyone tell me if this is normal and what the capacity of the oil tank is? The oil should outlast a tank of fuel.
Thanks for any help.

If the light was only "going off & on" (as opposed to on steady), maybe the level was low enough for the light to try & come on when the oil sloshed away from the sensor? My '05 Sabercat does that on hard right turns when the oil level is down, but not all that close to be REALLY low.
