Ok so I got a new engine for my 93 xlt 600. But the engine came out of a 96 xlt 600. I got everything hooked up like it was on the original engine. How ever I am not getting any spark. So my question is do I need to swap stators out of the 93 engine and put it in my new engine? I have tripple checked the wiring on it. But the only thing I can come up with is the wiring connection is different on the 93 and the 96.

did the wire connections all match up, and can you ohm the two stators and compare the readings, or you missed something.

Well I have not compared the pin locations of the two. I will do that tomorrow. I am thinking it is wiring issue not a stator issue. The engine came out of a wrecked 96 xlt. It was running the owner wrecked the sled and parted it out. The engine only sat for a week or so.

Ok day 3 still can't figure out why I have no spark. Everything is hooked up properly from what I can see. Anyone got any ideas or can point me in the correct direction?
