This is my first year with a sled. We just got our first snow storm last night, about 10". I'm heading to my cabin in southern ME near Limerick in couple days. I havnt been up there in over a month, Im not sure if there was a couple inches up there already but I know there hasnt been any real snow fall yet besides last night. How much snow do you need on a trail? how much snow do you need on a lake? to get there and enjoy the sled.

It really depends on the snow. 4 inches of heavy snow will be better then a foot of powder. So if the 10 inches was heavy snow then you will be fine. Lakes can vary depending on the wind because it can drift but you don't need a lot for the lakes. Just keep an eye on your temp light. I am going up to Pittsburg, NH tommorow and they are suppose to have 12-15 inches so it should be good riding.

Here is a New England snow depth chart if it helps:
