I am new to ski doos and was wanting to know for sure what the red valves are on the exhaust ports ? I have always had older yammis so this is new to me. It is on a 2001 mxz 700 adrinelin. thanks

R.A.V.E Rotax Adjustable Variable Exhaust. It changes the size of your ehaust port low to mid rpm smaller port higher rpm bigger port. It helps torque in lower rpm's and peek power in higher rpm's.:p hope that helps.

Iwould leave the adjustments of the raves up to your dealer. But thats just my opinion.

The red cap on the RAVE valve cover should be turned all the way in and bottomed in normal use . At high altitude , over 8000 ft or if the engine has been modified , then they may need to adjusted out , up to a maximum of 4 turns.
The only possible maintenance required would be cleaning the carbon of the guillotine or cleaning oil out of the diaphragm.....Jari
