While driving slow sled makes noise, sounds like things are grinding. Sounds like its coming out near the secondary clutch or and in that area. the shaft is tight and no play, So I know its not the bearings. Could it be the track is lose or not aligned? Gear box? Any help on things to check would be helpful. thanks, Its a fairly new sled. 2001 zl 600 efi.

I WOULD CHECK ALL BEARINGS SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE ONE SOMEWHERE, HAVE YOU CHECKED THE DRIVE AXLE, THE NOISE COULD BE COMMING FROM THERE TOO.

GOOD LUCK!!!

most common failure is the bearing on the drive cogs on where the speedo cable connects

run it hard, a bearing normally gets hot, when to the point of grinding

I WOULD NOT RUN IT TILL IT GETS HOT AND GRINDING, 3 BOLTS AND ABOUT 15 MINS TO TEAR APART IS BETTER THAN HAVING TO REPLACE DRIVE AXLE AND WORSE YOUR TUNNELL WHEN SHAFT WEARS THROUGH BEARING RACE.
