My 1995 polaris 488 trail F/C has a problem going from a stop to moving. it will idle fine but once you give it some gas the engion will just bog down... but if you lift the back end and give it gas it will spin the track and gain RPM's. I was stuck and mad it 30 miles back, once you get it past 20 mph it runs and drives fine! clutch problem? gas/oil is new. was not sitting at all. Thank you! sorry about the title saying box!

Look at your belt and secondary clutch. The belt should be riding about 1/8 inch above the top of the clutch. It sounds like your belt is worn and dropping in too fast.

clean your clutches also. it does sound like a belt or clutch problem like 7bicks said. if the belt is sitting to low in the secondary your clutch should have a brass plate on it so you can adjust it
