Hey there,

I've been looking around for studs for 4 Polaris snowmobiles that are late 90s models. The tracks are thinner than today's so I'm having some trouble finding studs to fit and I'm hoping someone can help.

Can anyone recommend a carbide stud manufacturer that makes 1" studs? That is 1" overall length.

I've had trouble finding these because every stud manufacturer measures studs differently (some measure only the shaft of the stud, while others include the head, while others measure what they call "installed height"). The .750 and .850 measurement is not meaningful because they can still be over 1" overall length.

To avoid any confusion, I'm looking for 1" overall length. That is 1" from the tip of the carbide to the head, everything all included.

Any help would be really appreciated. What have other Polaris owners used?

There is a guy in MN on CL that sells a stud, nut, and backer for $1.00 each. Search under Hennepin County.
