My older jag is having electrical problems. The electric start, head light, tail light and idicator lights are not working.

Does anybody know what this could be before i got and spend $$$ to fix it?
thanks

Is the battery new? If it's dead, your other things won't work either. If it is new, there is a lighting coil under the flywheel that can be bad.

Some do and some don't. I worked on an Arctic Cat with EFI that wouldn't start, even with the pull cord, because the battery wasn't charged enough to make the EFI work.

Time to start chasing the wiring. When you turn the key to the start position, there should be 12V at the small wire leading to the starter solenoid. If there is, the starter/solenoid is junk. If there's not, check the fuse, key switch, etc.
