My snowmobile, 1998 Indy Trail Touring 488, SCREAMS at me when going over 40 MPH. This annoys the poop out of me. It is so loud and ear peircing that is hard to go fast without stopping and cleaning out your ears.

What can I do?

The Fuji 488 engine that powers your Trail has no fan bearing. The fan is mounted directly to the crankshaft. One less thing to go wrong.

The "screaming" does sound like a bearing though. Mabey jackshaft, driveshaft, or a bearing in your skid. Do you grease your jackshaft and driveshaft bearings once in a while?
