Need help locating a new (used) flywheel for a 1996 Indy 500. It’s the standard Indy, carbureted. I broke two magnets pulling the flywheel... and need to replace it.

Stillwater, MN.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately none of them are the FP5445 number that I need. I has to be a liquid cooled Indy 500. Someone out there has one, and we’ve got record snow here in MN, so hopefully I can get one soon!

The number FP5438 is for Liquid Cooled Indy 500s which is what is on ebay right now. The one for a fan looks completely different!

Call the dealership and ask if that number will work. The Indy 500 SKS...Liquid Cooled also. Here is a pic of the fan cooled Flywheel compared to a Liquid Cooled flywheel...The 1st 2 are from a fan cooled the second 2 are from a Liquid Cooled

I've used different flywheel numbers on my old '87 Indy 400, I used one from a 1990 Indy 500 and they were the same other then the FP number. Call and ask not everything has to be the exact same part number with these old Indys
