Im thinking of buying a new used sled. Ive been out of theme awhile and want a nice reliable sled. Is the RMK Dragon 800 a good reliable sled? Please let me know your thoughts on this sled. Thanks!

The 09 800 engine was first brought out by Polaris in 2008. It's built on the design of the 440 race block that Polaris also modified to use in the 06+ 600 and the 07-10 700. The first two years, they were so horrible they recalled every one of them to change out pistons/cylinders/heads and to do a reflash of the ECU. The first two years had TONS of problems. Some ran good, most had really severe issues with mid-range lean burn-downs. Polaris worked and worked to get the fuel map right but a lot of die-hard Polaris fans abandoned the brand to find something that they could count on to get back to the truck. Buyer beware..

There are "fix-it" kits that have been available for the engine that can make it a bit more reliable. If that has not been done, expect problems. JMHO, mind you...
