I have a 2000 Indy 500 XC SP with VES, I was shocked to see injection oil costing $30 per gallon, Polaris brand. Anyone know of a good substitute that costs less? Also, do you have to run synthetic in sleds with VES?
With the variable exhaust systems they are recomending the synthetics to reduce build-up on the exhaust valves. You can run the others but the offset will likely be more exhaust valve maintenance or premature failure of the exhaust valve.
I haven't tried the other oils out there, but there is one called blue marble that seems interesting.
