im installing the new drive axle in my 98 indy limited, my question is i cant seem to get enough slack to let the left side bearing pick up enough to go through the hole it stays cocked down. do i have to take out the suspension to do this? i have the track adjustment backed all the way off now. but it still wont let me pick up the left side of the shaft. can this be done? it starts through the chain case bearing but the left side just wont lift enough to let the bearing in the hole. i hope this makes sense...
any help? weve tried prying, jacking everything we could think of!!! as it turns out the broken shaft was definately a bad casting and has been cracked for a while...thanks for any advice
