My '93 Prowler 440 starts and runs fine. After a cold start, when it has run long enough to shut off the choke, it idles high ....
When it warms up, it drops to about 1500 which is where I like it.

My question is what causes it to idle high before it gets warmed up and after the choke has been shut off? Not causing a problem, just want to know how it works.

Unless it's EFI, then I have no clue...that's weird...maybe a built in something that hold the throttle body open a bit until the engine reaches temp ?
