What is a normal idle speed for a sled, just got this one and it was cranking a 3k rpm idling, none of our other sleds have a tach so they are of no help to me.

any help will be appreciated.

my F7 idles at 3k also.

my friends f-5 idles at 1800-2200 rpm's, 3k sounds a little high.

3K sounds very high, I always just set the idle as low as it will go w/o sputtering

I believe I was told 1800 rpm for my xcr from a mechanic, so that is what I have my MXZ at... think it would be the same for all sleds.

thanks for all the replys, i have it set to about 1500 now and it sounds pretty good

after letting the sled warm up mine drops to about 2200.
