What turning problems have you heard of? My o3' has zero issues with turning.
My o3 was a left over and base price including rebates put me at about $4749 (without set up & taxes) Typical o4 600 goes for about $6700. Depending on sales & what comes out for o5' you may or may not see a huge price jump. Depends on the dealer. If they gamble for a good snow year in o5-o6 you may not see many bargins, you'd be suprized how fast stuff will sell w/ a good snow fall or 2.

Biggest change from o3 -o4 was better shocks, (the rev-x did not have rebuildable shocks, the trail does) They rolled the chaincase forward, changed to a better rings on the H.O. & lastly got rid of the "Beaver Tail."
