Sure. Big Bore with porting and you can get 180+. Just trying to figure out how Yamaha left a lot on the table with a 700 cc tripple producing approx. 140 HP. LOL.

For a 2000 - 2002 SRX, that is incorrect. Closer to 140 - 145. This is on a dyno of course. Any old cats producing that kind of HP for a 700 cc motor?

Didn't think so. They left a lot on the table. I ride with cats all winter and I spend more time wrenching their sleds than I do mine. LOL.

Also my 2000 SRX blows by buddies 800 Cat. Love it.

All Yami's leave alot! It goes back to the 76 SRX! The 440 lq was actually capable of almost 100hp from the dealer! Which was almost double most other 440's! There were alot of recalls and problems! Yami never took there engines out that far again! Thats why there is no Facotry Turbo!

I would not say they leave a lot, just enough so that you are not wrenching on the thing all the time. And that I why I drive a Yamaha. Reliability. Who wants a sled that is pushed past the limits and then is burning down on you.
