These are my homemade stands to keep track off the ground. They are stable and with the kids on the sleds without my consent I don't need to worry about them tipping or falling off the stands.

Nice job, I have welded a few up out of 1 inch flat stock and 1/2 square stock for the legs, Never had then flip over or fall off.

Okay, newbie question here. From seeing your stands I'm going to assume that its good to raise the sled off the track? Why is this so?

Yep cause you dont want it sticking to the ground. Also takes the wight off the suspension which is recomended to preserve it better.

I'm making one out of steel like the ones you can buy. I'm just to laisy to lift the rear end so I'm getting the ones that lift it up with the lever... Also to cheap to buy it so I got the measurments of my neibours stand

The ones I made aren't pretty but I can angle them under bar in back and with a kick I can Get them straight. The 600 is a little tougher to get up.

I like the angle.Keeps it away from the snow flap.Those tend to get stiff after riding
