I have a 98 xlt classic 600. One of the studs has pulled out an thir is a quater sized hole on the track. Should I replace it? The rest of the track is good.

Thanks

Gary

Depending on where you are, you may be able to get the hole repaired. It can be repaired as good as new these days.

if the hole is on the outside then you may have a problem. If it is in the middle belt, your fine. I was reading in an issue of snowtech magazine that polaris has recently been testing sleds where they drilled out like 200 or so 1 inch holes to lighten up the track and it has worked with no failures for them.

Hole in Track

The hole was on the outside. I decided to install an Ice Claw Track. For the $400 it seemed to make sense.
