My father was involved in a hit and run and we are looking for your help. The incident took place on Third Lake in Fulton County, NY (Adirondacks) Friday night about 7PM. The sled who did the hitting was an old Polaris Indy. Very dark color. His left ski is sticking in the air and he's missing a chunk out of the belly pan. He took off before we could get his information. I got his buddies registration number. That sled is a 1998 Ski Doo MZX, reg. no. 1524FI. The state trooper went to the house of the person listed as the owner, but he says that he sold the sled. They took off towards either Pleasant Lake, Pine Lake, or Caroga Lake. There was at least one other sled with them. The tunnel on my fathers sled is F'd up bad and probably totaled.

If anyone has seen either sled or has anything about an accident, please PM me.

how did the guy sell the sled yet the snowmobile is still registered in his name? when you sell something you usually go to the dmv and transfer the registration over into the new owners name... also does your dads sled have collision on it?
