anyone ever heili coil the ves valves. i found a oil leak at the cyl head and ves valve gasket went to replace the gasket and the threads came out with the bolt and will not retighten. a heili coil will probally hold up ok. what does everyone else think??

You can try a Heli Coil if it does not work, just tap the bolt hole out and go with a bigger bolt.

I would not reccomend the helicoil there is a new product out there that is easier to install and holds up 100 times better than a helicoil. They are called gardserts all you do is drill the hole out and screw them in with a standard bolt they will never back out or break like a helicoil will they thread themselves in and trap the metal turnings within the insert to perminetly lock them in place. Do a search for (gardsert)
